What I love the most about SL is the abundance of creativity you see where ever you go. Never before in my life have I been in a place where I am exposed to such a width of talent, which simply blows me away. It’s slightly mind boggling. It also makes me think of what abilities we as humans really have, so much potential and capacity that perhaps never would be realised if it wasn’t for SL. I know that is why SL is so captivating to me. I can let my creativity loose here, and it makes me feel good inside.

If you have tried to create something in-world you know how much work, time and effort that goes into making things, specially things that have amazing quality and ooze originality.

I think about the people that have created such items, their personality and different preferences, their background and lives. Who they are and what makes them tick, and how that is reflected in the things they make. They are all artists. I am very happy to have met and know some of these amazing people. I have been there when they go through the creative process and it is very rewarding to see.(mind you sometimes it’s pure torture, for them!) In this post I am wearing items by people that I have gotten to know quite well here in SL and I am very very proud and privileged to have as friends.

Erpla Prieto creator of Periquita shoes made boots after being in a rut. I asked her how she would create something inspired by her early creations but with her current skills, and these Kitchorific boots came to be. How fun aren’t they! Erpla is one of the most intelligent people I know, her brain works so fast it’s slightly scary at times(mostly cause it makes me feel like my brain goes in slow mo.)

Undo Hermano, behind SHADE THRONE, is like the coolest and most confident diva “bitch” with style I have ever met. I remember the first time I saw one of her sunglasses in a post and literally being bewildered by its design. My first visit to her store just had me perplexed. Her stuff is so “outside the box”. Apparently she designs in her sleep, so she can release new items every 2 days.(or so it seems) LOVE!

Anemysk Karu, one of the designers of [GLOW] has an eye for detail and a crisp vision of fashion that reflects in her graphics work. Her flickr stream is always refreshing to watch. Her sensitive and mature nature is balanced by her driving force to see things from a new angle, to always be on the forefront of her ability. Just look at the patterns of these FOLK earrings, inspired by Polish culture. Simply genius.

Last and definitely least, in avi size! (LOL) is Anya Ohmai. It is difficult to not be smitten by Anya’s charm and endearing character. On top of that she has the ability to transform simple garments into beautiful pieces of clothing. Her first tank top she made in one day, and it was the best tank I’d seen in SL! Her sense of color, shape and proportion is really impressive. Her clothing feels so natural! Talking to her about life in and out of SL has made me think a lot bout my own life and she’s quite mature for a young woman. I love her to bits, even though I nag on her like an old dad!

I know this post had a lot of text, but I wanted to let my friends know how I feel. And I hope everybody can and will tell the people near them how much they are appreciated. We all contribute to this small world we live in, let’s make it a positive and generous contribution!

How old is your avi in SL? I seem to be in the 28-35 range, mostly I think because I have my goatee and not so sporty style going on. In RL I actually feel a bit lost and naked without my goatee. (so deep I know!) But I thought to give it a go in SL, and I am glad, cause I look so much younger! ..::MAI::.. Justin skin is great in quality and has a nice charming face, it managed to lure me off my Belleza. I styled myself not so young though, more relaxed stylish artsy kinda way. I'm still in my SHIKI clothes, this is the jacket part of the new coat from SHIKI fall collection, the pants are from the black fall suit, LOVE the color splashes in it. The blue belt was what got this outfit going. The GLOW hats are very elegant, I modded the shape a bit and I really appreciate when you can mod accessories. The FD belt has been in my inv for ages and I love the feel it brought to this outfit. The Shiny Things shoes are so damn good, I want more!

So yeah here I am all shaven and "dapper", quote from Vanity, muah!

Get SHIKI with It!

I love Second Life! Love it! Where else can you step into a store, fall in love just about everything in there, friend the designer and be given a super cool gift, just for being in the store? I mean, imagine me stepping into Armani, texting Giorgio, "hey man love ur stuff!" and next day find a suit on my doorstep. (no don't think so...)

But this is what happened when I discovered SHIKI Design during the Stepping Stones hunt. I had one of those wonderful click everywhere experiences that don't happen all too often, specially not for men's ware, and ended up chatting with Shinichi Mathy for quite a while. Anyway...I've been wearing SHIKI ever since and FINALLY I am blogging it. I meant to do it like during the Stepping Stones hunt, which was like forever ago, but better late than never, right?! What I love about SHIKI is color and pattern. Shin mixes textures and patterns with a wonderful color palette. Most clothing comes with different color choices and alot of it is quite bold yet stylish, totally not over the top. Well..except for the pink gingham suit that I drooled over for a while. I'm like " No He Didn't!" but he did, and I wore it out! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I also have to mention that there are freebies all over the store, and they are great! Just join the group.

I wanted to use the same accessory base throughout, together with each look, but it didn't quite work out. First items were the super cool hats from Surf Couture, however the denim look needed hair. The shoes from Shiny Things, not new, but still wonderful, complemented the clothes so well. Although the pink gingham suit worked best with light shoes.

I created 3 looks based on SHIKI.

Autumn, Dark Denim and Pink Madness.

You figure out which is which.....

The detailed texturing on this suit is amazing. I chose to darken the collar a bit, cause I'm cool like that. And the suit is mod, so adjust the tone however you like. The tank top from Shai adds that pop of color that was needed. I don't know why, but I always feel right when I put on my Armidi Aviators and FNKY cigg, they go so well together and bring that hip edge to any outfit.

The pants is love! I'm a sucker for anything checkered. The scarf from LaGyo, makes this outfit really stand out to me, Gyorgyna Larnia has an amazing feel for details and the tassels on this thing move so realistically.

Exciting news!

I was asked to be one of the stylists for Le.Look! shopping district during August! We are looking at 4 weeks of great styling fun, and everything we wear basically you can get there. It is one of my personal favorite shopping sims, so I was thrilled and honored when Anemysk Karu of Glow Studio asked me to do this with her!

For our first week we decided to go with retro glam fun schawam! Every Saturday you can see what we come up with on the Le.Look blog, and you also don't want to miss out on the amazing photo work of Jordan Giant who will be photographing us. I'm so excited! (Can you tell?)

I will participate in my first hunt ever! Weee!!

The hunt is special because it highlights us pose makers in SL! The PRO POSERS hunt goes from 15 to 30 August.

Over 30 pose shops and makers are participating and that is just fantastic.

I have been heavy in pose making mode and decided to throw someting quick together, before friends started accusing me of being indecent. I've been walking around almost naked, she-male style, male skin/female shape.(no it's not pretty).

It has been a while since I posted an outfit! Lord, it doesn't take long before you feel totally out of the loop. I don't even know how to write anymore, so here follows some random rambling on some awesome stuff.

The see through cotton t-shirt from Doppelganger I saw on the Jewnas Brothers blog first, a total must have! A funny thing, on Fashion Feed of SL I was set as a Jewnas brother, oh I wish they would adopt me so that wasn't just a bug on the site!

Zaara has to make more men's stuff!! Just HAS to! These chinos are unisex and total love love love!.

The hat and hair from MAD Design, I am still wearing(note to self, wash hair)...it's so in fashion atm, specially in RL I see this hat everywhere.

The Miguel skin from Belleza just make me feel kinda smexy, love the fact that it resembles me a tad in RL.(let me dream.....OK!)

Steinwerk, a new brand to me, very sleek design on the glasses and Ubu Drunks shoes, both these items are top class sculptie design/texture work, and both have unbelievablely varied customization menus, you can change just about anything on them. Perfect for matching to what ever you have on.

The Yummy necklaces I bought years ago, but they still rock! They have that perfect male jewellry,"I don't care what I look like, but I wear necklaces"-feel.

Now on to the poses, which made me wanna blog this outfit in the first place!

These two poses are part of a Skipping Stones Hunt gift from PDA, and the whole set from them is just so fun, unique, full of character and quirkyness I feel so cool using them. (I really shouldn't tell you guys bout them, cause I want them all for my self!)

A Day At The Beach....

I met some people on the beach that were super cool and casual. They had that relaxed "I'm rich and I have no problems in life" feel about them. (no I'm jealous). Well...since I'm not rich and I do have problems in RL. I decided to go ahead and create that feeling for myself in SL. (no I don't need therapy). Plus I'm kinda happy and proud to have found the CUTEST tattoo in all of SL! Just look at that little tweety, my new easy maintenance pet!

The amazing poses are from Pda, I felt so smexy and casual while shooting. Their names always crack me up too. I also have to mention Smudge, I don't usually wear tatoos at all, but these are so unsual. The selection is fun and quirky, LOVE!

Light My Tomoto!

Ever since my little Tweelie was born..lol I have really been inspired to style myselfs a lot more than usual, mostly because she allows me to wear stuff I normally wouldn’t (no there is no multiple personality warning signal going off). I actually have several wonderful looks ready, but ever since Izzy B. from PDA dropped poses on me and my search for the perfect in- world photo lighting started, I can never quite settle with how I want the outfits presented. It has nothing to do with me being particular, I promise!

This outfit though I just HAD to share now because it's such a precious find to me. Plus I'm getting there with the lighting. The pictures in this post have not been altered in any way except for the border shading. The clothes and my avi are untouched. I am looking for that perfect 3d feeling. Standing inside a box with heavy glow and light emitting from it's center seems to be the way to go, I think, in case you wondered. If anyone is interested in this glow box, just IM me in-world and I'll send it over.

Anyway on with the styling!

I saw a post by Beanie Canning on the Beanie Loves Japan blog, and made a quick mental note to go check out the store, since Beanie looked super cute in the dresses. Tomoto was instant love! After entering the store I had to tp friends over to support my shopping frenzy. I don’t even know how many times I clicked that buy button, but lindens were flying in every direction! There was utter chaos for a bit! (how wonderful) I think I might have bought the entire store. I might even have double purchased some items, but I don’t care because Tomo Wachter deserves every L. The dresses in the store are superb. The texturing is detailed, the flexi is beautifully flowy, the sculptie shapes are natural and well made and the designs are quirky and well executed. It's just lovely through and through, and all so cheap! There's lots of free goodies as well, hair and different tops. Yeah, it was shopping bliss an entire evening. Thank you Tomo! ;D

I was invited to a fun formal event and I wanted to go as quirky anti formal but still kind of formal enough in SL couture fun style, hoping I could pull it off somehow. I chose to wear the white lacy dream dress Jour Heron. Once I had the dress on I felt it needed a head piece. The dress comes with a hat, but I didn’t think it fit well with the hair from Tiny Bird. The chandelier tiara by genius hat maker Megg Demina of Chapeau Tres Mignon I own only because I saw it on Thalia Jie's flickr stream. She is one of the fiercest stylists in SL, imho. She never ceases to amaze me and a peek at her stream HERE is always inspiring.

So with a flowery chandelier on my head I wanted to be a bit serious. and nothing is more serious than a monocle. I don’t know how come I have this but when I searched monocle in inventory it was there.(magic inventory!) I couldn’t find it in the store at VintageWear but perhaps it will be available after the rebranding to Epoque is done.

The boots are a perfect contrast because they are tough and heavy, a good root for all that light flowy flexi lacy going on, on top.

All dressed up and ready to go, I tp to the event and nobody's there...fiddle fiddle with outfit looking around...still nobody's coming...umm..ok...wait and zoom around.....nice room..hmm…nobody's here...looking at invitation..time is right...hmm....read invitation again...OH!! I was one day early! (silent silly moment) and total anti couture climax.

Oh well!

I shop too much! (Oh the curse!)

I bought the new shoes Ubu Drunks from Urban Bomb Unit when they were released and blogged by others, cause they are awesome. Forgot about them, even what they looked like appearantly, cause I thought I put those on, only to find out I had not even unpacked them! OMG, how silly! So what I'm wearing is their not latest but equally great Porn Star Hi-Tops.These shoes have multiple coloring and texturing options, so they go with any color outfit. I got the pants ages ago, totally forgot about them. Jacket is a recent purchase but never worn because of complete lack of inventory order. The hat I didn't even know I had! Each item amazing and together total casual coolness!

I modded the hat from AKEYO to match the shirt, that comes with the jacket from Ju Ju's Closet. The jacket has a non shirt version as well, and different sculptie collar and pocket options. I love it!

In RL I love checkered pants, well, I do so even more in SL! The colors, the textureing, the pattern the everything about these pants is LOVE LOVE LOVE! It seems I went nuts shopping in Meriken last time...and hmm..I think I need to go back and go nuts again! Yaay!

The pose. What can I say. Izzy, your the master of posture! If you haven't checked out pda(Penny Dreadful Arcade)'s poses, it's time you did. Go to Fashion Mode and check out his latest store location! There are other great shops there as well, it's just like a real mall!

Miriel, the sim is closing very soon. A veteran SL artist is closing shop, it's sad that such an enchanting place no longer can exist! It's the same with the sim Polly Jean, it's sad so sad. Specially Marly's shop will no longer be. So please make sure to go to these amazing shops and get everything you can before they disappear! Both sims are worth the visit just for the builds and nature alone!

I want to show the eyes from Miriel. If eyes are the window to the soul, I believe these are the soul of Miriel Enfield, how beautiful! There are so many more to choose from in her shop.

I didn't have any internet connection all day today, so this is what I came up with in Photoshop, yay for no connetion! None of the eyes have been altered from the in-world original picture.

Twee So Cute I Can Be!

While surfing around Flickr I came across a picture that I found both intriguing and very compelling.

Look here.

The dress worn in it piqued my interest becasue of its unusual silhouette. I asked Imogen Silversmith the artist behind this amazing picture, and she told me the dress was made by Manatee McMillan, owner of Twee.

I had never heard of this store and tped over quickly! To my surprise the store was completly new and not totally built yet. but that didn't stop me from buyin' buyin'! I dont care what vendors look like if I know the content is awesome!

Twee has quirky fun dresses with differently styled skirts, and great stockings!

I went back now and the store looks real nice.

I fell in love with this dress. The guppy. The sleeves comes in two sizes and are mod, so you can play with them however you want!

This dress and my new pose set (here) inspired me so much I had to create a new shape to fit them!

Isn't she just adorable! I should call her Tweelie! I am in LOVE! (OK, I know I'm nuts.)

She became cuteness overload when I wore &Bean's the Anger skin. &Bean has fab clothes too, I had no idea!

I pulled out some hats I have from Chapeau tres Mignon, knowing they have that vintage class I was after and voilá, the look perfected.

If you consider yourself any type of fahionista, you have to own hats from Chapeau, it's SL fashion law!

The hat together with the Alyssa Diamond BitchStick (lol fun name!) from Foxy's Smoke Shop, made me feel so 50's!

The ChickyChic Pumps from Periquita completed the outfit. Periquita shoes by Erpla Prieto are so fun and retro cute. I know Erpla and she always strives for original well made designs, her shoes sure are unique in SL. Love it! I'm so proud of you girl! The necklace is from Paper Couture, one of the best pieces in their new collection.

In one of the pictures I had taken, I thought I looked like of those paper angel scraps you can collect.

I had a bunch of these as a child! But they were in a mess, everybody else I knew had them in binders in perfect order.

So I played a bit in Photoshop.

While surfing the net looking for inspiration I found the fashion photos of RL photographer Antoine Picard. I was instantly drawn to his pictures and the models' strong yet delicate poses.

I knew I had to bring them in-world.

Since none of the pictures had any lower body shown, I was able to intrepret each pose and create a lower body I felt suited the mood of each pose.

I made 2 versions, one standing and one seated or laying.

About a week ago the wonderful Marleen Vaughan posted a challenge for all

posers on the blog Fashionphiles .

I decided to give it a go, since I already was planning on releasing a bunch of fierce poses in the near future. This was the perfect kick my procrastinating butt needed. Of course it helped that the poses she wanted made were, to say the least out of the ordinary!

She wanted the RL artist Robert Longo's graphic works of art, with strong movement and intense moments captured through dancers in motion. These paintings instantly catches your attention and draws you in!

This was the perfect challenge to hone my skills!

Spring with Asian Blossom!

Finally the sun is shining outside and the birds are chirping. The grass is green and the flowers are coming out. I was overwhelmed by the lovley meadow in the new Zanzo sim. It was so wonderful I stayed for a whole day.

Oh, how nice to run and skip in the grass!

Peek-a-boo!

It was so quiet and calm as the sun was setting, I rested in the grass till complete dark.

For the longest time I have been thinking about putting an outfit together with lots of color.

I saw the head piece at Ce Cubic and I knew I had to have it. Theme purple/yellow was born. Isn't it wonderful we can search Inventory! I looked for something yellow and, there it was. I didn't know that I already had this super cute, perfect for easter, dress by Aoharu.

Flowers! When I bought these tights from Amerie's Naughty a looong time ago. I never actually thought I'd wear them. I sometimes buy things just cause they so special and well made, I have to own them. It's a way for me to show appreciation to the creator. So, remembering they were covered with flowers, to match the dress, I tried them on. Perfect match! It's funny too that the new Itutu sim opens with Amerie's store in it, cause all the old LM's didn't work when I was searching for Slurls! You need to update your vendors hun!

The head piece reminds me of a gypsy fortune teller, and those have BIG earrings. The biggest I had were these from Creamshop. The bangle from Fresh Baked Goods was easy to match since it is scripted with mulitple choices of colors and stones. Plus it is chunky and fun just like the earrings.

The shoes was a bit difficult for me to find. I initially wanted someting in burgundy or purple. But who can resist Armidi? It's not that often I get to put on these babies. So aqua it became instead.

Too Couture To Be True!

I am always on the look out for exciting hair, also the bigger the better..lol. So when I found this amazing updo, well let's just say that the hair got me started....:D

The dress, by Amariah Francis, is so stylish and fun. I knew the cute bubbIe skirt was the perfect match for the hair. LOVE!

The second I put it on though,I knew I needed a splash of color. This incredble collar, by Elate!, pure sculptie fashion design genius, imho, totally made the look. It is part of a dress, but works wonders all by itself, as well. The shoes by Storm Schmooz(who needs to release some new stuff soon!) was the perfect red to complete the outfit.

I felt so too couture, I had to take pics!

Fashionable Relay Challenge #21

I'd been following the fashionable baton being passed on, getting more and more excited, even nervous, and finally when I get to my turn in this wonderful challenge by Sasy Scarborough. I had to go visit my in-laws for the week-end! YAY, happy times!!!That explains the delay in posting, people! Well..now I'm back home..time for fun!

Thank you Newdoll from Just A Girl's Blog for handing over the baton. Lovely ensemble you put together, making it quite hard for me to pick what to relay, I must admit! Shoes, hair, shorts and shirt, I wanted it all!

The beautiful white flower on Newdoll's neck caught my attention right away though, when reading her post, and since I'd never been to LOULOU&CO, the Nostalgia necklace will be my item to relay.

(I had to have it too, anyway)

I decided I didn't want to go with the brands I love to wear, but to try and look for new stuff out there, visit stores I'd never bought stuff from or perhaps even knew about before. I guess it wouldn't be a challenge if I went with what I knew, otherwise I'd picked those Maitreya Soho Boots INSTANTLY! Since I have them ALL! haha...

Seeing as many of the posts in the relay have been more casual in style, I wanted to couture it out for you y'all.

I don't know how to dress causal as female! LOL! Yeah..I'm the only male in this challenge. ;)

It was time for me to enter unknown fashion land!

Here goes!

Phew! What a day! This was some challenge I have to say, to go couture with only separates and shops I don't really know! It was HARD I tell you! I don't think I've ever tp around as much as today! Bearing with lag and crashes takes its toll!

I have to admit though, not everything are from stores I've never bought from or heard of. Some items I already had in my inventory, things I always wear and know I won't find better, not worth trying to look even.

So I began searching for what might match the flower on my neck, and this is what I came up with.

Clothes:

Top: AMARIAH - Mist, Crochet Lace Top.

The lace detailing in this top is just amazing and the different textures below the chest makes this little top couture stylish. The second I saw it I knew I had to have it on me! And boy was it time to find something I'd been looking all day! The top also comes with lace sleeves on glove layer.

I have a feeling this little store will soar!

Nothing says Couture Lux more than a lush fur bolero jacket!

The skirt is so big and luxurious, I had to make it bigger! I love to sexy walk in it! LOL!

Besides I needed something to compensate the jacket.

OK, I had this in my inventory. If you don't have nylon stockings from Sheer, you don't have nylon stockings. So what if you can't see them! ;)

The sweater I have from this store, is pure sculptie wearable art. So going into the shop I had a feeling I would find something I'd like. But how could I have known that this little exquisite flower head piece would be there waiting for me, all matchy matchy with the crotchet lace top.

This is sold with a 4 pack of hair, but the hair didn't fit my large couture head!

This set comes with an equally lovely necklace. The natural pearl shapes did it for me. I have to go back and snatch up the rest of the cute and interesting jewelery they had!

Had this in my inv already, however in Auburn, apparently not sold anymore. Well it didn't hurt to get the all black ones either. LOVE!

Although the damn program is kind of wierd and things dont always import the way I want. I am totally into it!

Making runway animations is something I want to go into next, but it's so tricky..I'm not exactly a fashion model in RL..haha...but I have a feeling I can bust out some fierce animations for all you fashionistas out there. :)

Finally I managed to understand how to manage DAZ 3D. I'm so excited cause now I can start making all these crazy fun poses I've been wanting to for ages! I love making poses!

I will focus on making poses that are a bit different, crazy and dramatic. Some will also be dance poses, cause that's what I know!

Expect wierd laying poses, and jumps and hanging from the ceiling stuff like that.

I think finally I have some inspiration! I have been stuck with RL stress for some time now which just is not helping with creative juices flowing! But perhaps now, with much less RL work stress, meaning...I'm unemployed! LOL , I will be able to stress less and perhaps pull out an outfit or two, after some rest.

I AM going to finish the outfit I started some months ago, it's release fits for early spring anyway, since it's a lacey romantic flirty dress.

Then I will make a photoshoot of the 2 dresses I have in my inventory just sitting there!

I need to get this stuff out there!

Ok, so for my interview on Sunday i have put together this outfit. I find it stylish and elegant, and different at the same time.

I LOVE the Gisele wool sweater, the collar is sculptie couture genius!And the whole outfit is a mix and match of textures in grey to black tones, with hints of blue. I like how the Shai tank top is just barely seen under the sweater. Kind of holds the look together.

Gryphon Wings made these silk pants and the model and textureing is just wonderful.

I fell in love with this hair from Laq,"Breeze" I never thought I'd fit in the artsy "emo" hairstyle, but it works rather well in this look. I look mystrious in a way.. just agree! :D

The gloves are Tap leather gloves mixed with the Maitreya arm warmers hand piece in grey. I had the whole thing on, but they are not made for men! It just looked like a robot arm, but this option of mixing them made it more interesting.

The shoes and the back pack (that you cant see!) are from Soreal, the back pack was a group gift from a while ago, but the shoes are the City Sneakers.

So I managed to send out a Fash Con notice! Yey! After being a member for over a year! That must be a record! Well I did it and some people came, I even made some sales!

I have a couple new releases out and I am a bit proud of them. Although they are not new creations , they are finally out!

Rock'n Rose is a cool outfit, I'm very proud of

the tube top and the sequins fabric it is made of.

Ok , So I'm probably the laziest designer in SL. I have stuff laying about in my inventory for MONHTS, alost a year, and still everday I say: " Oh I have to take pics of this and package that. Finish this, and fix that." Oh my, SO MUCH TO DO! THEN the ads and Fash Con, and this blog is not in the feeds..so I dont know WHO reads it..probably not a single soul..hahahahaah....
Well..hopefully that will change in the future....

I am discovering that my design style is odd, and Im going to embrace it. Cause I cant go with the masses....it's not my thing.

So if you like wierd odd clothes, some probably really ugly and some hopefully amazing pieces of wearable art..who know's..
